Francesco Apolloni born and raised in Rome.
Director, writer, actor, journalist and producer.
He graduated at “Accademia d’Arte Drammatica Silvio D’amico”, and continues his studies participating in workshops, with acting coach Michael Margotta, Bernard Hiller and The Actors Studio Los Angeles.
He has written and directed many theatre plays, written and published novels, realized documentaries, short films and movies. Many of his works were successful and part of festivals and obtained many awards and notice from the pubblic and the critics. As a director he realized social campaigns against drugs and to help fighting cancer. As an actor he was the protagonist of two movies which had a lot of success “Scusa ma ti chiamo amore” and “Scusa se ti voglio sposare”. In television he worked as a co-star in “Rino Gaetano”.
Lately he worked as an actor in “Third Person” oscar winning director Paul Haggis with Adrien Brody, “Per sfortuna che ci sei (Unfortunately you are here)” director Alessio Federici next to Ambra Angiolini and Enrico Brignano, “Tutta colpa di Freud (Freud’s fault )” director Paolo Genovese and “Ovunque tu sarai”(Wherever you will be) with actors Ricky Memphis, Francesco Montanari and Primo Reggiani director Roberto Capucci.
He also worked as an editor with the most important italians journals “Il sole 24 ore” and “Il Messaggero”, “Il Tempo” and RomaItaliaLab.
He is the artistic director of Terminillo Film Festival.
